Syrian singer Waad Al Bahri
Syrian singer Waad Al Bahri said she is thinking of releasing an album of songs reminiscent of old Arabic folk tunes. Bahry said she's been massively supported by Egyptian artists and the Opera House have encouraged her
to work on an Arabic folk project.
In an exclusive interview with Arabstoday, Waad said she was pleased to be involved in the Arabic Music Festival for the third time and that the Opera House, where she began singing before she got work on the popular Syrian television show ‘Asmahan’, feels like her second home. She revealed that she will not be producing an album with songs in different languages because she wants to focus on the Arabic audience that she loves so much. She told Arabstoday: "I hope to perform songs that last a lifetime, just like Warda and Abdel Halim Hafez."
Al Bahri is currently preparing to film her second music video for her song "Ghayar Hayati" (Change My Life) after her first music video "Tajroba" was an instant Youtube hit.
