From left Fouad, Jassmy, Hamaky, Elissa and Nancy Cairo – Shima Mekkawy Promos play an important role in today's soap operas, as it is not just a song we hear and repeat, but often a taste of the spirit and content of the show. Every year, competition is fierce among title songs for Ramadan television show. This festival will see a huge number of veteran actors and movie stars in starring roles, so it is inevitable that the title songs reflect the same energy. Arabstoday follows the Ramadan 2012 race.
Egyptian comic legend Adel Emam and producer Safwat Ghattas chose a special track for their "Ferqet Nay Atallah" (Nagy Atallah Squad) , where it will have music by famous composer Omar Khairat.
Actor Mahmoud Abdel Aziz chose the "WAMA" group to sing "Eemel Abit" (Act As A Fool) for his series "Bab El Khalq", composed by Mahmoud El Khaiamy and distributed by Nader Hamdy, while singing sensation Tarek El Sheikh crrons the promo of the series "Eldonia Masrah" (Life is a Theatre).
Actor Nour El Sherif’s choice for his series "Arafa El Bahr" was also Tarek El Sheikh for the opening theme, after rumours concerning his choosing singer Wael Gassar. The title song is written by Ayman Bahgat Kamar and composition by Waleed Saad.
Actor Yehia El Fakharany chose Omar Khairat to produce the music of the series, in addition to the title track.
Mohamed Fouad was chosen by Ahmed El Sakka to sing the title song of the series "Red Lines" (Khotout Hamraa). The song is written by Ayman Bahgat Kamar, composed by Waleed Saad and distributed by Osama El Hendy. By the song, Fouad returns to the titles’ race as he was away for years since the series "Emam of Preachers" (Emam Al Doaah) which was about the biography of Sheikh Mohamed Metwaly El Shaarawy.
Singer Mohamed Mounir dedicated his song "Ahl El Arab wel Tarab" (People of Arabs and Songs) to be the title song for the series "El Horob" (The Escape) starring Kareem Abdel Aziz, while actor Khaled Saleh chose the singer Mohamed Hamaki to sing for the series "Gameat Al Dowal", written by Ayman Bahgat Kamar and composed by Mohamed Yehia.
The series "Kadeyet Maaly El Wazira" (Her Excellency, the Minister’s Cause) starring Elham Shahin, has the singer Riham Abdel Hakeem for a song written by Hussein Mostafa Moharram, composed and distributed by Amr Ismail.
Actor Salah El Saadany chose singer Khaled Aggag for the series "Al Ekhwa Al Aadaa" (Brothers-Enemies) who will sing "Hasbeya Allah" (God Suffices), written by Malak Adel and composed by Mohamed Abdel Moneim.
Actor Khaled El Nabawy chose singer Tamer Ashour to sing the title song for the series "Ibn Moot" (Son of Death), written by acclaimed lyricist Sayed Hegab and composed by Tamer Ashour with the help of his brother in the distribution. This is the second time Tamer Ashour sings the titles after "Adahm" which starred Ahmed Ezz 3 years ago.
The "Karioka" series’, starring Wafaa Amer, will have the title track sung by Hussein el Jassmy, composed by Khaled Tohamy, and will be his second experience with actress Hend Sabry. Jassmy will sing for her new series "Virtigio", for s tune by composer Khaled Ezz and produced by Ashraf Mahrous.
For the first time, Tunisian singer Saber Robaie will participate in the race, singing the title song of "Mouled we sahbo Ghayeb" (Carinval Without Owner) starring Haifaa Wahbi, while the closing song is by the popular singer Amina.
Actress Laila Olwy’s series "Napoleon Bonaparte" will have the beginning and ending sung by Mohamed El Helw, while actor Eiad Nassar chose singer Ramy Sabry to sing for his new series "Serr Alany" where Eiad stars with actress Ghada Adel. This is the first time Ramy Sabry sings the opening and ending themes of a series.
Artist Fifi Abdo chose rising star Carmen Soliman to sing for her series "Kayd El Nesa 2" (Women Intrigue 2). The words are by Hussein Mostafa Moharram, the song composed by Mohamed Yehia and distributed by Tarek Abdel Gabbar.
Singer Elissa will s ing for the opening and closing credits of "Maa Sabq Al Israr" (On Purpose) starring Ghada Abdel Razik -- the words are by Mohamed Hamed and the song composed by Mohamed Raheem.
Popular singer Bahaa Sultan sings for the series "Al Zoga Al Rabaa" (Fourth Wife) starring Mostafa Shaaban. Lyrics are by Ayman Bahgat Kamar, composed by Waleed Saad and distributed by Toma.
For the third year, Singer Nancy Ajram is present in the Ramadan race, where she sings for the series "Hekayat Banat" (Girls' Stories) written by Ayman Bahgat Kamar, composed by Waleed Saad and distributed by Tarek Madkour. The series stars Saba Mubarak, Horia Farghaly, Dina El Sherbiny and Reham Ayman.
Actor Gamal Ismail chose the singer Mohamed El Helw for the series "Sidna El Sayed" (Our Master Syed). Its lyrics are by Medhat El Adl and be composed by Mohamed Raheem.
Angham sings for the series "Fe Ghamdet Ain". The words are by Bahaa Eldin Mohamed and the song is composed by Waleed Saad. Singer Rola Saad and singer Ahmed Fahmy share the title track of "Al Bahr wel Atshana" (The Sea and The Thirsty) . The words are by Bahaa Eldin Mohamed and composed by Mahmoud Talaat.
Other actors are going to sing their own series’ title songs as Hani Ramzy in a duet with Amira Fathy for the series "Ibn El Nezam" (Son of the Regime). Amr Saad will sing for his series "Khorm Ebra" (Eye of a Needle) and Mohamed Saad will sing for his series "Shams Al Ansary".
