The role of the father disappeared in cinema and TV and became worthless . Actor Ahmed Khalil expressed his resentment over such absence ,saying that drama used to send morals through art ,and that is why the producer made sure to present the Egyptian family in a good way through series ,such as “Seven Daughters” and “The dearest one “.
The critic Nabil Al-Hajjar said that during the 1970s the nudity and kisses’ movies spread and father’s role disappeared completely from cinema . The writer Nader Salah El Din also pointed to such absence even from theatre ,despite the existence of mega stars how managed to perform such role perfectly, like Hassan Youssef and Hassan Hosni ,adding that the scripts are to blame ,and the only one who is performing such roles nowadays is Adel Emam .
Actress leblaba also referred to the importance of father’s role in the family besides the mother ,saying that we need new works to highlight their role in raising and guiding their children.
