How did A-List lives match up to their horoscopes?
With 2012 drawing to a close and 2013 approaching fast on the horizon, we take a look at last year’s predictions from astrologer Pharoah and see if his forecasts for year came to fruition. It is said that "Even if their prophecies are true, astrologers always lie." The fortunes predicted for some stars in 2012 were scarily accurate, and some were far from it.
Algerian Singer Warda
The most prominent prediction that came to fruition this year from astrologer Pharaoh, was the foretelling that the Algerian singer Warda wouldn’t survive a serious sickness. This year she was struck down with an illness and the star passed away few months ago.
Syrian actress Slav Fawakherji
It was predicted that Slav would be very lucky this year but this doesn't seem to have been the case. She recently suffered an attempted kidnap and hostage situation at the hands of her maid who was looking to curry favour with the Free Syrian army.
Egyptian actor Kareem Abdul-Aziz
Actor Kareem Abdul-Aziz’s prediction for 2012 warned him against envy and accidents. If we consider the failure of his last series The Escape a bad omen, especially after the great success he enjoyed in 2011, then the prophecy might be true.
Egyptian actress Yasmin Abdel Aziz
The prophecy of actress Yasmine Abdul Aziz urged her to get revel in her luck this year, and this exactly what she did with her successful movie Miss Mamie which was a box-office smash.
Egyptian actress Sumaya Khashab
The pharaoh’s prophecy for Khashab came true, somewhat. He predicted that she would suffer a decline in her success and a general slow-down in business. Khashab had only one unsuccessful film this year called An Hour and a Half.
Egyptian actress Yusra
Just as it was predicted that Yusra would be exposed to a major health crisis the actress got seriously ill and was rushed to France for treatment.
Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab
Fortunetellers told Sherine Abdel Wahab that significant problems would force her to leave Rotana. After a series of fiery interactions between her and company officials, Sherine decided to leave the organisation.
Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe
Lebanese Haifa was told that she would get a baby this year. In fact she got divorced and the only baby she got was a grandson, after her daughter gave birth to a little boy.
Lebanese singer Elisa
Elisa was the subject of two prophecies; the first for great success in her career, which she achieved with her new album this year, and the second was her vulnerability to a disease, which did not afflict her as far as we know.
Syrian singer Assalla
It was predicted that Assalla would get a divorce and encounter problems in production. On the contrary, it was a very successful year for Assalla with a new album and TV show. Meanwhile her husband, director Tarek El-Erian, was a guest of honor in his new series A Thousand and One Nights.
Egyptian actor Ahmed Helmi
Star Ahmed Helmi was due for bad luck this year, but he continued his success in cinema and even ventured in to his first writing role with his new show Yahoo Helmi.
Egyptian actor Adel Imam
A decline in health and career was predicted for super star Adel Imam this year but he stayed in good shape and his series Naji Atallah was a great success.
Egyptian actor Yahya Fakharani
A similar decline in well-being and career was the prophecy of Yahya Fakharani, but it turned out to be totally false, especially after the success of Khawaja Abdul Qadir.
Egyptian actress Laila Alawi
Divorce was on the cards for Laila Alawi, accompanied by a string of bad luck in 2012. But the actress kept her marriage and had a successful series named Napoleon and the Safeguard.
Egyptian star Ahmad Al Sakka
Ahmed El Sakka was told that misfortune would accompany him through 2012, but he escaped that with his successful series Red Lines. However the prophecy of the death of someone close to him was fulfilled with the death of his friend, actor Ahmed Ramzi.
Egyptian dancer Fifi Abdo
Star Fifi Abdo was promised great success in 2012, however her new TV series and film were not a hit.
Media star Hala Sarhan
It was predicted that Hala Sarhan would return to her glory days in the eye of the media this year. However Hala resigned from her position at Rotana and departed the spotlight completely.
Tunisian actress Dora
A career decline thanks to business and legal problems was prescribed for actress Dora in 2012 but thankfully this has not been the case.
