London's underground scene had a huge influence on fashion London – Caroline Kent The world renowned Victoria and Albert museum, London has revealed that it's biggest fashion exhibition for 2013 will take us deep in to the murky depths of London's underground club scene in the 1980's. Over 85 looks by designers such as Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano will be shown next to examples of club-goers outfits from the time. The scene had a transformative effect that rippled across the international fashion world, inspiring haute and high-street designers alike. Tribes such as Fetish, Goth, Rave, High Camp and New Romantics emerged alongside media revolutionaries who transformed the publishing arena and cultural trend-setters who influenced all spheres of society. The exhibition will features a mini club area, as well as archive magazines. Club to Catwalk: London Fashion in the 1980s will be open from July 10 2013 until February 16 2014.
