Dolce & Gabbana completes its ‘Velvet’ collection

Two luxury fragrances, designed to depict the beauty of women and the strength of man, are joining the Italian luxury brand's Velvet olfactory line. Velvet Mimosa Bloom and Velvet Exotic Leather will be available for purchase from Dolce & Gabbana stores, as well as certain retailers such as Sephora, in September.

Dolce & Gabbana's Velvet line will welcome two newcomers in the fall, both directly inspired by the iconic fashion designers' past. As Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana explain, "We have put our memories and our roots into the Velvet fragrance collection, which have the same vibrant, hedonistic heart as Sicily and Italy."

An homage to feminine sensuality, allure and beauty, Velvet Mimosa Bloom brings heady notes of mimosa absolute harmoniously blended with narcissus absolute and violet leaves. Mandarin, bergamot and neroli oils evoke the vibrancy and luminosity of this fragrance.

Whereas mimosa represents the feminine, in Velvet Exotic Leather the essence of a man has been retold with black leather combined with opulent and burning labdanum, intense styrax and deep woody cade oil nuances. The composition is enriched with fresh notes of clary sage and lavender, along with some fruity notes of rum, incense and olibanum.

The Velvet collection already includes Velvet Bergamot, Velvet Rose, Velvet Patchouli, Velvet Sublime, Velvet Love, Velvet Desert Oud, Velvet Tender Oud, Velvet Wood, Velvet Desire and Velvet Vetiver.

Velvet Mimosa Bloom and Velvet Exotic Leather will both be available for purchase come September in 50ml and 150ml bottles for €200 and €375 respectively.
