Al Habtoor City, the new multi-use development set to receive its first guests end of 2015, is ideally located within 15 min from an array of amenities and key landmarks making it a perfect destination for residents and visitors.
The development, home to three five-star Starwood branded hotels (St. Regis, W Hotel and Westin) and three luxury residential towers, is just a short distance from major landmarks and tourism sites like the Burj Khalifa, Madinat Jumeirah, and Dubai's main shopping malls; the Dubai Mall (10 min) and Mall of the Emirates (14 min).
Al Habtoor City is perfectly positioned alongside Dubai Creek's extension, The Dubai Water Canal, which will connect the Creek to the Arabian Gulf. The Dubai Water Taxi is scheduled to make regular stops at the Al Habtoor City marina as part of their marine transport route.
There are a multitude of international schools nearby for those who select Al Habtoor City as their future home - all less than 15 minutes away including Emirates International School, Jumeirah Primary School, Al Ittihad Private School, Our Own Indian School, Jumeirah English Speaking School, Safa School and many others.
In addition, the integrated development is a stone throw away from the city's financial hub, The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and the Dubai World Trade Centre. The new development is also within easy reach of Dubai's two international airports. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group said, "Al Habtoor City is ideally placed near major landmarks and amenities that Dubai offers. It is just a few kilometres from banks, attractions, hospitals, and parks giving residents and visitors access to so much. There are so many choices for visitors within the development itself from restaurants, shops and entertainment too, all within few minutes walking distance. Al Habtoor City is your perfect future home”.
The Al Habtoor Group is a UAE-based conglomerate. While best known for construction, it is globally recognised through its involvement in the hotel, automotive, real estate, education and publishing sectors.
Al Habtoor City is a multi-use development incorporating three five-star Starwood-branded hotels (The St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai- Al Habtoor City, The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City), alongside three luxurious residential towers. The City, which sits alongside the upcoming Dubai Water Canal, will also be home to the regions first-ever permanent Dragone theatrical production choreographed exclusively for Al Habtoor City. In addition, there will be a tennis academy, a European-style boulevard lined with retail outlets, a marina and multiple restaurants.
Meanwhile, Sharjah is in the process of launching ‘Sharjah City for Waterfronts, which will be the throbbing heart of Sharjah tourist vision 2021.
Construction work for this project will commence shortly after Sharjah Commercial and Tourism Development Authority had announced earlier this year its plan to attract 10 million visitors by 2021 concurrently with the UAE celebrations of its 50th National Day.
This ambitious project, which stretches along 36 kilometres on Sharjah shores, is composed of 10 islands connected with natural canals and includes villas, residential apartments, offices, hotels, a leisure city, recreation areas, marine clubs and all the required facilities that depict the latest prestigious lifestyles.
The first phase of the construction work on 3,053,557 square feet will kick off in the last quarter of 2015 and will feature the development of a central commercial area, luxurious hotel facilities, 24 multi-use towers, a huge shopping mall and residential villas. The total cost of this phase is Dhs9.35 billion. More financial details will be unveiled shortly.
