Algeria boasts beautiful beaches
Algerian Minister of Tourism and Craft Industry, Mohamed Benmeradi, has said that Algeria seeks to attract 11 million tourists by the year 2025
.
A national plan to boost tourism in Algeria will be set up to achieve this objective, Benmeradi announced during National Tourism Day celebrations on Tuesday at Riadh el Feth in Algiers.
Benmeradi confirmed that huge investments and projects are underway for the promotion of tourism in Algeria. He insisted on the need to "meet the challenge of ensuring quality and necessary human resources in the management of tourist infrastructures."
This national plan will focus on the strategy of training, upgrading, and communicating - predominantly targeting young people in the country.
The minister said that the plan requires "raising awareness about the importance of tourism, and the need for citizens to contribute to the promotion of the sector."
