Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

The U.A.E.'s National Council of Tourism and Antiquities (NCTA) is organising a roadshow in the capitals of Norway, Denmark and Sweden on Sunday to promote the U.A.E. as a tourist destination.
The Director-General of NTCA, Mohammed Khamis bin Hareb Al Muhairi, said the five-day road show will see the participation of representatives of national tourism agencies, airlines, travel agents and hotels, as well as 35 tourism marketing and promotion specialists who will travel the three Scandinavian capitals in a bid to open new markets for the U.A.E.'s tourism sector and attract more tourists to the country.
Hundreds of tourism companies in the targeted countries were invited to the roadshow to learn about the prices and services offered by the U.A.E. tourism companies.
He noted that Scandinavian countries' markets are promising as millions of tourists travel every year to different destinations around the world.
"The roadshow will also promote the hashtag #visituae, launched last week by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Chairman of NTCA, on social networking sites to make online search for the U.A.E. tourism products easier." Dubai's Emirates Airline operates direct flights to the Scandinavian capitals and Abu Dhabi's Etihad Airways is planning new services between Abu Dhabi and the three European cities, Al Muhairi further noted.
