The UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Kuwait's General Directorate of Civil Aviation have signed an agreement and memorandum of understanding (MoU) on air transport services.
The agreement and MoU were signed by Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director of the GCCA, while the Chairman of the Kuwait's General Directorate of Civil Aviation, Fawaz Abdulaziz Al-Farah, signed on behalf of Kuwait.
The deal was signed on the basis of open skies between the UAE and Kuwait in order to cope with the growing air and passenger traffic, and movement of goods between the two countries.
Al Suwaidi said the open skies agreement between the UAE and Kuwait would further serve the two partners and help keep pace with expansion being eyed by the UAE national carriers, stressing the importance of striking more air transport agreements that could enhance a number of sectors in the UAE such as trade and tourism.
