Sleep units at the Atlanta Airport
Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

The busiest airport in the world is the latest to roll out a dedicated sleeping lounge that will soon allow international flyers to get some shut-eye before boarding the next leg of their trip.
Passengers traveling through the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will have access to a sleep lounge on the international concourse early next year, when 17 sleep units are installed on Concourse E and another six suites built on Concourse F in 2015, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The Minute Suites, as they’re called, will also have showers.
The new sleep units will join an existing sleep lounge at the Atlanta airport on Concourse B, which offers five private rooms equipped with a daybed sofa, flat screen TV, Internet access. Rooms also come equipped with a “sound-masking” system that claims to neutralize noise.
Suites go for $34 an hour or $125 overnight. A 30-minute shower goes for $25.
Minute Suites are also present at the Philadelphia International Airport and Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport.
The US hubs follow the lead of other major international airports that offer slumber options for tired travelers.
Abu Dhabi International Airport rolled out sleeping pods last year, that allow passengers to cocoon themselves into self-contained armchairs which slide completely shut.
The Dubai Airport also has ‘SnoozeCubes,’ which are likewise soundproof, lie-flat units for tired flyers in transit.
And the award-winning Singapore Changi Airport also offers cubicles and private napping rooms for a fee.
