A private residence in Amsterdam
By employing strong details, Marcel Wanders developed a striking design scheme for the interiors of a private residence in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. A slightly royal sensation is exhaled by a daring variety of patterns coming together in a
harmonious blend. We haven’t seen anything quite like this before, which is why this project got our undivided attention.
With a total surface of 102 square meters, the space in the main residence had to be very rationally organized: “But rational doesn’t stop architecture from speaking. The interior of Private Residence, Amsterdam abounds with strong details which provide instrumentality. The semi – circular wall in the main area has been enhanced and the curved wall got bulged to give an iconic presence to the space. The boundary between inside and outside, and between architecture and nature are blurred“. Have a look at the imposing interiors below and tell us if you find them inspiring!
