Bay Tree Trading caters for the bespoke requirements of discerning home owners
London - Arab Today

Bay Tree Trading caters for the bespoke requirements of discerning home owners Jen Allmond is a design entrepreneur whose flair for interior magic began with a passion for floristry that included an "outstanding achievement" award which led to a Chelsea Flower Show appearance.

She launched Bay Tree Trading, an interiors and accessories business that caters for the bespoke requirements of discerning home owners - and now offers a complete service on-line.
“My plan was to provide beautiful and useful furnishings to enhance any home,” says Jen, whose shop is in the delightfully quaint Caudle Street in the Sussex Downs village of Henfield, West Sussex – a sort of miniature ‘Brighton Lane’.
Now, demand has inspired her to create a new web service for those looking for a gift, an enhancing treat for themselves or simply searching for creative home insight. Bay Tree Trading has something for everyone – from umbrellas to armchairs and mirrors to mannequins.
Bay Tree Trading can take old furniture and rejuvenate it – providing a new look for a careworn item, making a beaten-up old chair look chic.
“Giving furniture that could be thrown out a new lease of life is so rewarding,” says Jen.
Her distinguished record in floristry included an appearance at Chelsea Flower Show with flower arrangements after she qualified with distinction as a City and Guilds student with ‘outstanding achievement’ to her name.
She also has a diploma in interior design from the Interior Design Institute in Covent Garden, London.
From a small studio in East Sussex she expanded her horizons into the home interiors market by moving to the shop in Henfield, where she has built a formidable reputation as a woman with a talent for transforming the “ordinary into the extraordinary”.
And floristry is obviously in her blood as she stocks a wide range of artificial blooms that have the appearance of real flowers.
“Artificial flowers are completely different these days,” says Jen. “They are now incredibly realistic and made from materials that give a feel of the real thing – we can provide versatile flower arrangements, or a single bloom in a vase.”
With pictures a focal point in many homes, Jen has made it her mission to source dozens of different high-class frames to add that special touch to anything from a signed teeshirt to a tapestry or watercolour.
