Car seized during the raid is towed away
More than 300 cars have been seized in Qatar after drivers were allegedly involved in illegal street racing and stunt driving, The Peninsula newspaper has reported.
Police confiscated the vehicles after drivers were caught taking part in the dangerous event at a busy road located industrial area of Doha.
According to the Qatari publication, "daredevil street racing and stunt driving" had been taking place over a series of nights during the holy month of Ramadan and consisted of stunt drivers from rival teams.
The cars used by drivers and spectators were seized at the weekend, and the owners were fined on the spot.
