Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), has signed an MoU with Wasl Properties, a subsidiary of Wasl Asset Management Group. The MoU establishes the framework for a partnership between the two entities to develop creative public art projects across Dubai as part of the effort to position Dubai as a cultural hub that bridges the east and west.

Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office Mona Al Marri and CEO of Wasl Asset Management Group Hesham Abdullah Al Qassim signed the MoU on behalf of the respective parties.

Mona Al Marri affirmed that Brand Dubai is continually working to implement the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum to transform Dubai into an open-air art museum and highlight the city's unique character as one of the world's fastest growing and most diverse cities.

Al Marri said: "Signing this MoU is part of Brand Dubai's objective of contributing to the development of Dubai's cultural and artistic scene in collaboration with our strategic partners. I am confident that Brand Dubai's experience of developing creative public artworks aimed at enhancing the artistic and cultural ambience of the city and Wasl's experience as a leading property development company will make this a very fruitful partnership."

CEO of Wasl Asset Management Group Hesham Abdullah Al Qassim said: "We are honoured to work with Brand Dubai, and we welcome this partnership to develop new creative public art in Dubai. As a real estate company, our activities are not only limited to providing real estate solutions but also extend to contributing to realising Dubai's future vision. In collaboration with Brand Dubai, Wasl is keen to give Dubai's residents a great cultural and aesthetic experience."

Following the MoU signing, Brand Dubai and Wasl Properties will form a team to manage their upcoming joint projects. The MoU also facilitates the exchange of experiences, knowledge and information.

The first joint initiative between Brand Dubai and Wasl Properties is an art project at the Samari Retail community. The artwork is a wall painting that combines traditional Emirati art with modern creative styles.

Brand Dubai and Wasl Properties teams are also collaborating to finalise a series of further new projects and initiatives.
