Zayed University has signed an agreement with ADNOC Distribution to provide a training programme for the company's employees as part of efforts to leverage strategic industry collaborations towards helping staff stay up-to-date and
develop professional work competencies.
The agreement was signed between Professor Abdalla AlAmiri, Provost of Zayed University, and Ahmed Al Qubaisi, Vice President, Human Resources Division at ADNOC Distribution.
Under the agreement, Zayed University will conduct a 10-week training program to refine the English language skills of a number of newly recruited U.A.E. Nationals from ADNOC Distribution in all areas including reading, writing and conversation. The aim of the program is to help trainees improve their professional performance and enhance their communication skills.
Professor Abdalla AlAmiri, Provost of Zayed University said: "This agreement articulates our government's vision to develop the skills and capabilities of our national work force. ADNOC Distribution has always played a pivotal role in stimulating economic growth at both local and international levels. Zayed University's collaboration with the company reiterates our commitment to developing a qualified, creative and well-informed national work cadre capable of contributing to the U.A.E.'s holistic development." Ahmed Al Qubaisi, Vice President, Human Resources Division, ADNOC Distribution, said: "ADNOC Distribution seeks to develop the competences and professional skills of its employees by joining forces with leading training partners and utilizing its internal resources as and when needed. This initiative is aligned to our priority to equip the national workforce with the skills and knowledge required for assuming responsibilities and tasks within diverse core sectors. Zayed University has made commendable efforts in preparing future generations to take on challenges at both the individual and institutional level and contribute to shaping a sustainable economy that is built on a solid knowledge foundation."
