Director-General Al Ain Zoo Ganem Mubarak Al Hajiri (2nd R) Al Ain Zoo and the Hilton Al Ain on Monday joined hands to work together for wildlife conversation. The hotel will donate a share of its coffee shop profits to the zoo's conservation programme. The collaboration will help educate the community about the role of the zoo and its commitment to conservation, said Ganem Mubarak Al Hajiri, Director-General of the Zoo and Aquarium Public Institution in Al Ain.
Al Hajiri also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jacques Claudel, Hilton Al Ain's general manager on Monday.
"Our programme focuses on animal management, wildlife sustainability and the protection of endangered species, and also introduces a strong incentive to support concerted community efforts in the UAE,” said Al Hajiri.
Al Ain Zoo, he said, has evolved into a key player in wildlife conservation, as well as a much-admired visitor destination, contributing to Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.
Speaking on the occasion, Claudel said that he was delighted to join in to raise much-needed funds for the programme from each cup of coffee sold in the hotel's latest cafe.
