Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, and Chairman of the Coordination Office of U.A.E.-funded Development Projects in Egypt, has inspected progress at the construction site of a new bridge in Ardh Alliwa at-grade intersection, one of the four U.A.E.-funded projects under construction in the Giza Governorate.
Ardh Alliwa project which is now 92 percent complete is one of the four bridges planned to ease traffic congestion, reduce accidents and resultant losses in Giza's most densely-populated districts of Ardh Alliwa, Nahya, Bashteel.
When completed, the bridges will serve more than three million people in the governorate.
In his remarks during the visit, Minister Al Jaber said, "The directives of the wise leadership of U.A.E. focus on speed and perfection in the construction of all projects. This affirms that we stand by our brothers in Egypt." "I am pleased to inspect the progress at the Ardh Alliwa bridge where the Egyptian workforce has shown strong determination and keenness to carry out the work with the highest quality," added Al Jaber.
Expressing his hope that the projects would be implemented in time and achieve the ultimate goal of better serving Egypt's economy and society, he said that the focus was on infrastructure projects that represent the foundations of economic development.
Minister Al Jaber, who was accompanied to the site of the project by Governor of Giza Ali Abul Rehman, noted that there are indications that Egypt's economy is recovering
