Humaid Mohammad Al Qattami, Minister of Education, announced the development of a prize for outstanding employees. This comes within a series of events organized by the Ministry of Education to motivate its employees and encourage them to be more innovative and to raise their performance level. His Excellency said that the Department of Human Resources in cooperation with the specialized Departments will develop a list of terms and conditions from which they can choose the outstanding employees. This came during the ceremony for honoring the Ministry of Education’s employees and some of the Ministry’s strategic partners who won the Communication Knights award. The ceremony was organized yesterday morning at the Ministry of Education’s office. The ceremony attendees included: His Excellency Ali Mehad Al Suwaidi, Vice-Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Fawzia Hassan Gharib, Assistant Undersecretary of the Educational Operations sector and a number of department directors and educational district directors.  His Excellency Minister of Education said in his opening speech that the ministry aims in its new phase to improve the customer service, develop systems and mechanisms, and use the best international standards in order to become the best in its field. His Excellency said that these objectives are inspired by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, at the launch of the Emirates program for excellent government service and His Highness’s directives in upgrading the service so it can reach a competitive level. His Excellency Al Qattami mentioned that the ministry is keen on establishing a number of service centers with international standards which includes customer services, communication, business, and quality. His Excellency said that the ministry is also keen on hiring experienced employee in the customer service centers. All this will help in connecting the ministry to the community and strengthen the ministry’s relationship with the educational institution and everyone connected to the educational services. His Excellency assured that the Ministry of Education continues in developing mechanisms and methods to communicate with the community in order to improve the quality of education. HE pointed out that the idea of the Communication Knights award confirms that the ministry is committed to achieve the best quality of communication with the customers, as the award aims to encourage the employees in participating in decision making through constructive suggestions and views. His Excellency concluded his speech by saying: we celebrate today our employees and partners who suggested creative and innovative ideas for development and we will always be open to new creative ideas. At the end of the ceremony His Excellency distributed appreciation certificated and commemorative shields to the winners and thanked them all for their creativity and their contribution in raising the performance levels in the educational institutions. The list of honorees included a group of employees from the Ministry of Education and a number of the Ministry’s strategic partners including Dubai Police, Dubai Quality Group, Dubal Aluminum Company Dubai, My Government Gate, Roads and Transports Authority of Dubai, Al Yusuf Computer Company, 3P United Company, Smart Call Company, and Client Advertising Agency.
