Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal will pay on Saturday a working visit to Ghardaia, during which he will verify the state of progress of several social and economic projects. As part of the implementation of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika program, this visit will allow the Premier to inspect various projects, including the construction of a program of 648 public rental housing units in Metlili El Jadida. According to the visit program, Sellal will also inspect the project of 6,000-place university center, equipped with a 3,000 bed university, 10 km southeast of the city downtown. He will also visit, near the University of Ghardaia, the project of a directorate of academic works management, central restaurant of 500 seats, and 70 housing units for higher education sector. Regarding the health sector, the Prime Minister will check the progress of the construction works of a 30-bed capacity specialized psychiatric hospital, a paramedic training school with 400 seats and a rehab center, before receiving information on a 240-bed capacity hospital project. In the area of Noumerate, town of El-Atteuf near the multisport complex, he will inaugurate an accommodation centre for young people with 100 beds, as well as a sports hall at El-Atteuf. During this visit, Sellal also inspect a lagoon wastewater treatment plant of four municipalities in the M’Zab Valley, the dualling of 44km section of trunk road-1, between Ghardaia and Beriane and the building of a solar power plant with a capacity of one (1) megawatt, with 6,000 photovoltaic panels. He will also hand over farms and livestock exploitation titles to local youth. Sellal, which will be accompanied by a large ministerial delegation, will conclude his visit to the province of Ghardaia by a meeting with representatives of civil society to identify actions likely to further improve the province’s consistent development.
