Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Development Affairs, attended a reception yesterday evening hosted by Arthur Spyrou, Australian Ambassador to the UAE, on the occasion of his country's National Day.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Dr. Obaid Al Heri Salem Al Ketbi, UAE Ambassador to Australia, and members of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the UAE, along with the Australian community living in the country.
In a speech on this occasion, Mr. Spyrou said that the UAE is a strategic partner for Australia in the region in terms of bilateral relations between the two countries and continuous development in all fields, highlighting his country's keenness to take part significantly and effectively in Expo 2020 Dubai to promote Australian investments in UAE and in the Middle East region.
