Berri warns against 'Lebanon Iraqisation' plan

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri on Wednesday warned against the "Iraqization" of Lebanon, saying this very dangerous scheme will never pass. Berri renewed the call, during the Wednesday Deputies' gathering, to "open the eyes and respond to such suicidal attempts in the country." "The gravity of the security situation in which we live requires more attention and urges not to continue to disrupt state institutions," Berri noted. He uttered surprise over certain parties' continuous boycott of the legislative sessions, stressing that "in light of a caretaker government, the work of the parliament must be intensified. It should not be hampered no matter what!"
