Heng Samrin, president of the National Assembly of Cambodia, will make an official visit to Laos from September 13-17 to advance bilateral ties and cooperation, the legislative body said in a statement on Monday.
"The visit is aimed to strengthen friendship relations, solidarity and cooperation between the two countries," the statement said.
Heng Samrin will hold bilateral talks with President of Laotian National Assembly Pany Yathotou, it said, adding that he is also scheduled to pay courtesy calls on Lao Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong and Lao President Choummaly Sayasone.
During his stay in Laos, Heng Samrin will also attend the 35th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-35).
