Delegation accompanying German vice chancellor visit Pyramids area

Director of the Pyramids antiquities Hassan Abdel Basir said that members of the German delegation, that accompanied German Vice-Chancellor and Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel, visited the Pyramids area Monday.
In statements to MENA, he said the delegation members voiced admiration of the ancient Egyptians' genius and the skills they used in building the Pyramids.
The delegation members visited the inside of the Khufo (Cheops) Pyramid, the Sphinx and Khufo boat where they listened to an explanation about the area monuments.
Sigmar visited the area on Sunday where he expressed happiness over the visit.
Sigmar and his accompanying delegation left here on Monday, wrapping up a two-day visit to Egypt.
During his visit, Gabriel had talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on boosting bilateral cooperation.
