Egyptian President Dr. Mohamed Morsi arrived here Wednesday on a three-day official visit to Brazil. During the visit, Morsi will meet with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, Senate President Renan Calheiros and former President Lula da Silva.
Morsi is scheduled to deliver a speech at the Egyptian-Brazilian business forum held in the economic capital of Brazil, Sao Paulo.
The Egyptian president said that his visit to Brazil comes within the framework of his country's quest to develop relations with BRICS member states after visiting China, India, South Africa and Russia.
He said in his Facebook page that his visit aims to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, which currently stands at $3 billion, and to attract more Brazilian investments to Egypt.
