Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab left here on Tuesday heading for Tunis on a two-day visit to Tunisia during which he will meet with Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi.

Heading a high-profile delegation, Mahlab will also convey a message to the Tunisian leader from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the latest developments on the Arab and international arenas and other issues with common concern.

The meeting will touch on ways of boosting bilateral ties in various areas.

Mahlab will co-chair, with Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid, meetings of the joint higher committee which will discuss means to cement relations between the two countries, especially in the economic, investments, tourist and cultural domains.

Furthermore, the Egyptian Premier will talk with a number of Tunisian officials about the recent regional issues, notably the Libyan crisis and means to further joint cooperation against terror.

During his stay, Mahlab will meet with members of the Egyptian community there to brief them on the latest developments in their country and with Egyptian and Tunisian businessmen to discuss fostering joint investments.
