A poll of historians has again ranked Eleanor Roosevelt the best first lady in American history, with current first lady Michelle Obama ranked fifth. Roosevelt, a women's rights icon, has ranked first every time Siena College has conducted the poll for the last 32 years, Politico said Saturday. Holding down the No. 2 spot is Abagail Adams. Jacqueline Kennedy was ranked third, Dolley Madison fourth, and then Obama -- just ahead of Hillary Clinton in sixth. The last time the poll was conducted in 2008, Clinton was ranked fourth. Topping the list of first ladies who respondents said could have accomplished more while their husbands were in office was Laura Bush, followed by Pat Nixon, Mamie Eisenhower, Bess Truman and Barbara Bush.
