US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman is to arrive in Yeme's capital, Sana'a, on Sunday at the beginning of his new tour of the region where he will meet with the country's senior officials.
Feltman will focus during his visit on the US commitment in the transitional phase in Yemen and the need for this transition process, according to US State Department statement. The statement added that Feltman is scheduled to meet with President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi and other government officials as well as youth leaders, activists and media representatives. Feltman's meetings with Middle East officials will focuss on all bilateral and regional issues, including the current efforts to stop the violence in Syria, according to the statement.
