Manama - Arab Today
Former Spanish Monarch, HM King Juan Carlos, today paid a visit to the Bahrain National Theatre, along with the Foreign Affairs Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa.
Shaikha Mai informed HM King Juan Carlos about the role of the National Theatre in boosting the cultural and artistic movement, especially through its events that reflect Bahrain’s openness to the world and outstanding relations with brotherly and friendly countries, and achieve cultural interaction among peoples and cultures.
She also informed him about BACA’s activities, particularly next year’s celebrations of Muharraq as the "Capital of Islamic Culture", and the International Conference of the World Heritage Committee, under the presidency of Bahrain.
