French president-elect Emmanuel Macron arrived at the Elysee Palace in Paris on Sunday to be inaugurated as the country's youngest ever president.
Macron, 39, will take over from outgoing Socialist Francois Hollande and will face a series of daunting challenges including tackling high unemployment, fighting Islamist-inspired violence and uniting a deeply divided country.
