H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, has received a letter from HM King Abdullah II of Jordan, dealing with bilateral relations and ways to enhance them.
In the letter, King Abdullah II extended an invitation to Sheikh Hamdan to visit Jordan. Sheikh Hamdan has accepted the invitation for the visit, the time of which will be decided later.
King Abdullah II also thanked Sheikh Hamdan for his generous donation of AED1 million to help underprivileged families in Jordan.
Sheikh Hamdan also launched an initiative to enable every UAE-based Jordanian family to sponsor a similar underprivileged family in Jordan.
Last week, a delegation from Al Maktoum Foundation, visited Amman and met a number of Jordanian officials. During the visit, the delegation handed AED500,000 of donations made by the UAE-based Jordanian families, to the families of martyrs of the Arab Jordanian Army, in addition to the AED1 million donated by Sheikh Hamdan to the needy families there.
