"Prime Minister Saad Hariri is now leaving Abu Dhabi heading to Riyadh, after he was received by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed. During the meeting, the pair discussed the brotherly relations and the current situation and developments in Lebanon."

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) indicated in a statement "Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed had welcomed the Lebanese Prime Minister for talks over the means to bolster the brotherly ties.

Bin Zayed also confirmed the Emirates' support for Lebanon regarding "the regional interference in the country that obstructs the course of building and development and threatens the safety and security of the brotherly Lebanese people."

He also wished success for Hariri on the level of Lebanon overcoming the current crisis.

Wam added: "The resigning Lebanese Prime Minister expressed delight to meet with Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahian, and he discussed with him the challenges facing Lebanon. He voiced gratitude for the Emirati state's command and permanent keenness on supporting Lebanon in different circumstances in order to strengthen its unity and guarantee its security and stability
