H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has conveyed his blessings and congratulations to the leadership and members of the Abu Dhabi Police, on the 60th anniversary of its establishment.

He stated that he considers the anniversary a source of pride and honour for all UAE nationals and residents who have felt the contributions of the police to establishing security and safety and drawing a smile on the faces of all its customers.

In his speech marking the occasion, Sheikh Hazza stressed that the support of the wise leadership, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, had a considerable effect on the overall development witnessed by the police service, as well as other government services, which aims to attain a leading regional and international reputation.

"The 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Police is a celebration of the supreme values, advanced practices and leading stature of the police service, with its various departments and services, until it has become an example of the successful efforts of our government to make the community happy and create a positive and sustainable impact on the journey of our development," Sheikh Hazza said.

"On this occasion that is dear to all our hearts, we warmly salute the generations of men and women who have served, with sincerity and dedication, the Abu Dhabi Police over the course of generations and in various roles. They have left a mark that will not be forgotten during our advancement. We call on the next generation of male and female police officers to maintain and build on the country’s efforts towards greater advancement and accomplishments while serving Abu Dhabi and making their customers happy," he added.
