His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa patronised today the graduation ceremony of the 23rd batch of students from the University of Bahrain (UoB). He deputised Education Minister and UoB Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi to attend the graduation ceremony of the students from the colleges of physical education, law, engineering and Information Technology which was held at Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall at the university’s headquarters in Sakhir.
UoB President Dr. Riyadh Yusef Hamza extended thanks and appreciation to HRH the Premier for patronising the celebration. He also thanked the Education Minister for his support to the university, congratulating Bahrain on the new graduates who, he said, will contribute to Bahrain’s growth and prosperity and achieving its Economic Vision 2030.
Deans of the colleges gave speeches in which they pointed out the efforts of UoB to get the international accreditation for its academic programmes.
A number of graduates also gave speeches marking the occasion in which they expressed utmost happiness about their graduation which crowns a march of hard work and perseverance. They stressed resolve to contribute effectively to building the present and future of their homeland in all fields.
The Education Minister, the Deputy patron of the ceremony, presented the graduates with their certificates.
The ceremony was attended by UoB Deputy Presidents, members of the academic and administrative staff and the graduates’ families.
