Five batches who have successfully completed Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion Program were honored during a ceremony held under the patronage of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani,


The program is organized by UNIDO through its Arab International Center for Entrepreneurship and Investment (AICEI) in cooperation with Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Tourism and Bahrain Development Bank. During the ceremony, the minister delivered a speech saying that the wise vision of the leadership and the government of Bahrain place the private sector at the forefront of the country’s economic development goals and strategies, as well as the entrepreneurial sector and small and medium enterprises that support the national economy.

The minister added that the government of Bahrain, through the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, has embarked on strategic partnerships with a number of bodies and institutions involved in this vital sector such as UNIDO Investment Promotion Office, which provides successive training programs and benefited hundreds of entrepreneurs from Bahrain and many countries.

It should be noted that according to the statistics of the UNIDO Office in Bahrain, 112 programs were implemented with the participation of 1863 entrepreneurs, and provide support for 8,000 Bahraini entrepreneurs and 2,200 projects during the period 2000-2017.
