Iraqi Foreign Ministers Hoshyar Zebari visited Poland on Wednesday and met with the Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski here in Warsaw. The two ministers discussed bilateral cooperation and trade issues, including Poland's investments in Iraq. Sikorski said Poland is sending economic missions to Iraq and has opened a consulate in Erbil. He hoped that Polish businesses would show more interest in Iraq. Zebari, meanwhile, stressed that Iraq was interested in attracting more Polish investments in infrastructure, agriculture and the energy sectors. The two ministers also discussed the situation in Syria and Iran. Zebari also met with Polish Defense Minister Tomasz Siemoniak on Wednesday.
