General Commander of the Iraqi Armed Forces and Prime Minister Haidar Abadi on Sunday inspected the site of Karadah blast amid tight security measures in central Baghdad.
Security committee of Baghdad Council said the blast claimed the lives of 50 people and left 80 others injured.
Abadi described the blast as "a desperate attempt" by Daesh militants who have recently been strongly defeated in Falloujah.
He pledged that the state will revenge the terrorist acts and hunt down more terrorists.
Daesh group has claimed responsibility for Karadah blast as a suicide bomber blew himself up in a restaurant near the main street of Karadah commerical district in central Baghdad.
