Jordanian King Abdullah II returned home Thursday after a working visit to Russia.
During the visit, the Jordanian king conferred with Russian President Vladimir Putin on means to boost bilateral ties and the latest regional and international developments.
Russia and Jordan are siding together to combat terror and extremism, King Abdullah said in press statements with Putin before holding the Jordanian-Russian summit in Moscow.
Russia plays a pivotal role in the Middle East in face of the challenges in the region, he said.
Russia has a main role in the peace process between the Palestinians and the Israelis, he added.
King Abdullah asserted the importance that the international community and parties side together to reach political solutions, calling on the international community to exert efforts to reach a just solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
