US Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Berlin and Munich from January 31 to February 2 to hold talks with senior German officials and attend a security conference. State Department Spokesperson Jennifer Psaki said in a statement here on Wednesday that in Berlin, Kerry will discuss with the German officials "our ongoing bilateral cooperation as well as pressing international issues." She added that in Munich, Kerry and US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel will participate in the 50th Munich Security Conference. Kerry and Hagel will underscore at the conference the US "commitment to our strong transatlantic relationship and our work to promote peace, democracy, and prosperity within the region and beyond." "While in Munich, Secretary Kerry will also hold a series of bilateral meetings," she noted.
