Khalid bin Hamad to be honoured in Dubai

Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman and Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA) President His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa will tomorrow head to Dubai to attend the final ceremony of the Mohammed bin Rashid Creative Sports Award.
The award distribution ceremony will be held under the patronage of Dubai Crown Prince, Dubai Sport Council President, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. HH Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa will be honoured for launching the Khalid bin Hamad Swim Challenge and winning the 42-kilometre race from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain in 20 hours.
He hailed the award which acknowledges those who play a crucial role in promoting sport creativity in their countries and on the international arenas. He stressed the importance for sportsmen to support charity and humanitarian work. International Military Sports Council (CISM) President Colonel Abdul Hakeem Al-Shino also arrived in Dubai to attend in the 6th Creativity Forum, being organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Creative Sports Award.
