Egyptian Immigration Minister Nabila Makram left Khartoum on Thursday for home after settling the crisis of detained Egyptian students.
During the three-day visit, Makram held intensive talks with Sudanese officials on means of releasing Egyptian high school students who face charges of leaking exam papers and mass cheating.
Sudan considers the case as a national security issue, Makram said.
Earlier Thursday, Makram said Sudan pledged to release detained Egyptian students next week.
Makram said she will return to Sudan next week to follow up freeing the students.
