London - Arabstoday

Malala Yousufzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl shot by Taliban gunmen for "promoting secularism" is to undergo reconstructive surgery in Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital in early February. Her doctors said she would return to hospital to undergo surgery known as titanium cranioplasty to repair a missing area of her skull with a specially moulded titanium plate. During the attack in October, Malala was shot in the head, with the bullet grazing the 15-year-old's brain when it struck her just above her left eye in the incident in the Swat Valley.
