Manuel Barroso on visit to Nigeria

The President of the European Commission, Jos{ Manuel Barroso, travels to Nigeria Wednesday to join some 30 world leaders at Nigerias Centenary Celebrations in Abuja.Barroso will meet Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and discuss political, trade and cooperation relations between the EU and Nigeria, said a statement by his office.Nigeria is an important trade partner for the EU, especially for oil and gas, it noted.
