Dubai - Arab Today

Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai accompanied by his two children, Sheikha Jalila and Sheikh Zayed, on Friday visited the Butterfly Garden and Miracle Garden in Al Barsha.

Sheikh Mohammad toured the Butterfly Garden that covers an area of 4,500 square metres, including 2,000 square metres that houses butterflies and includes 26 species of butterflies in addition to the flower garden that delight the eyes of viewers in their different colors and types of up to 120 varieties of flowers and roses.

The Butterfly Garden, the first covered garden in the world, includes a butterfly museum, with services and recreational facilities to cater to between 2,000-3,000 daily visitors.

Sheikh Mohammad and his two children also visited the two million square feet Miracle Garden, which is considered the largest in the world and home to 25 varieties of flowers.

Sheikh Mohammad was briefed about the gardens — popular tourist destinations — by architects who designed the projects.

The two gardens have been developed by Akar Landscaping Services and Agriculture.
