The second edition of the Nasser bin Hamad Sport Scientific Research Award came under the spotlight in Kuwait. Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Secretary-General Abdulrahman Askar shed light on the prize as he attended a key meeting which brought together the GCC Olympic Committees Executive Bureau and the heads of the Sports Games Organsing Committees.
He underlined the importance of the new award in promoting scientific research and developing the sport movement. He pointed out the keenness of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and (BOC) President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa to launch the second edition of the award in the Arab World so as to increase the number of participants.
(BOC) Sport Advisor Abduljalil Assad also attended the session and delivered a detailed presentation on the award. New publications highlighting the award as well as the terms and regulations were also distributed on the sidelines of the meeting. The executive board hailed the efficiency of the football, cycling, sailing and the disabled organizing committees which are based in Bahrain .
