Muscat - Arab today

 The Sultanate will take part in the joint annual meetings of the Arab financial institutions and meetings of the 8th session of the Arab Finance Ministers Council, in Rabat.

The Sultanate's delegation to the two-day meetings will be led by Darwish bin Ismail Al Balushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs and Hamoud bin Sangour Al Zedjali, Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) and officials of the Ministry of Finance. 

The delegates will discuss the financial position of these institutions and the evaluation of the results of their work for 2016, as well as the study and approval of the programmes of financing and investment operations for 2017. They will also discuss the international economic developments and regional challenges facing the economies of Arab countries.

Bilateral meetings of Arab finance ministers will be held on the sidelines of annual meetings to discuss and exchange views on financial and economic issues of common concern.

The Arab Monetary Fund, Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation, Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development will take part in the meetings.
