The United Civil Party, one of Belarus' oldest opposition groups, on Saturday re-elected Anatoly Lebedko as its leader and elected him as the party's candidate for president of Belarus to run in next year's election, Interfax reported.
The decisions were made at a party congress which also decided that, if various opposition groups decided to nominate a single candidate for the 2015 poll, Lebedko would seek the role.
Lebedko has regularly run for president and a parliament seat.
