Resigned Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi is in critical condition, Aloulaye Yemeni independent newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The paper added that the U.N Special Envoy to Yemen Jamal Benomar has visited Hadi at his home to inquire after his health status.
The paper quoted well-informed source as saying that Hadi has been suffering from serious heart problems that prompted him to undergo an open heart surgery.
Hadi's health condition deteriorated again after taking cholesterol drugs that had side effects on his heart, the source underlined.
