Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz will chair the 36th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit, set to kick off here on Wednesday, the Saudi "Aljazeera" newspaper reported.
The paper said the summit will be held amid extraordinary conditions to discuss a set of important files concerning security, economic, political and military issues, as well as the situation in Yemen, Syria, Iran's intervention and the Palestinian issue.
GCC foreign Ministers will hold their 137th meeting later in the day. Also, GCC cabinet will convene this day to prepare for the summit meetings and outline the agenda of the issues to be raised during its discussions.
The paper expected that GCC summit will issue extraordinary resolutions and nontraditional solutions in the face of several challenges facing the Gulf countries.
