Sheikh Hamad attends Prince Nayef’s funeral

HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani arriving in Jeddah yesterday evening to take part in the funeral ceremony of Saudi Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz al-Saud. HH the Emir was welcomed, along with his accompanying delegation, upon arrival at King Abdul Aziz International Airport, by Jeddah  Governor Prince Mishaal bin Majid bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and Qatar’s consul in Jeddah, Khamis Ibrahim al-Muhannadi.  The Emir later attended the funeral of Prince Nayef  in the Haram al-Sharif in Makkah after the Maghrib prayers.  HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, the personal representative of the Emir, and HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani also attended the funeral. The Emir offered his condolences and sympathy to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, on the death of  Prince Nayef.  He also offered his condolences and sympathy to princes, praying to Almighty Allah to have mercy upon the deceased and to grant the royal family solace and fortitude.
